i plan to see this because 1) i usually trust when critics decide which films are oscar-worthy, 2) jean dujardin is so fun to look at, and 3) any film which dares to be silent these days is definitely a film worth seeing.

and to those moviegoers who’ve demanded refunds after realizing it was a silent film only after sitting down to watch it in the theater- do your research first. besides looking up the top box office hits or critics’ choices, also look up its synopsis- don’t just go by the numbers. if you know you wouldn’t enjoy a silent film, then just don’t watch it.
