must-see film - "A Separation" →
i don’t go out to the movies very often. i’d rather not pay $20 to see a film (popcorn and/or candy usually necessary) that is only rent-worthy, which, in my opinion, is 99% of the movies nowadays. in any case, movies go on dvd within 2-3 months anyway so i’d really rather wait.
but i had the great pleasure to watch “a separation” at laemmle royal on santa monica...

I’ve always been curious about camera phones and which shutter speed, aperture, etc they’re typically set at. I looked up the iPhone 4s’s amazing camera, as it has now replaced my incompetent Blackberry camera as of Valentine’s Day. Thought other nerds like myself would find the following pretty interesting.

seared tuna steaks with new potato salad
For the potatoes: 2 lbs. yellow new potatoes Olive oil Kosher salt and pepper 1/2 lemon 2 tbsp. capers 1/2 red onion, finely chopped 2 celery hearts

raspberry lime mint iced tea
it already feels like summer in la, so can i just make this now?
Ingredients
2 1/2 tsp earl grey tea
3 cups water
3 cups water
1/2 cup brown sugar
500g raspberries, I used frozen (equivalent 1 1/2 cups raspberry juice)
4 limes, juiced
Mint leaves and ice to serve.
