I’ve always been curious about camera phones and which shutter speed, aperture, etc they’re typically set at. I looked up the iPhone 4s’s amazing camera, as it has now replaced my incompetent Blackberry camera as of Valentine’s Day. Thought other nerds like myself would find the following pretty interesting.

Silent movie ‘The Artist’ has some moviegoers... →
i plan to see this because 1) i usually trust when critics decide which films are oscar-worthy, 2) jean dujardin is so fun to look at, and 3) any film which dares to be silent these days is definitely a film worth seeing.
and to those moviegoers who’ve demanded refunds after realizing it was a silent film only after sitting down to watch it in the theater- do your research first. besides...

covet garden
Covet Garden is a different kind of design magazine. We are interested in spaces that have not been styled by interior decorators and that, above all else, reflect the passions and interests of those who live in them. We found that there is no end of creative lives and places that inspire with their uncommon and attainable décor ideas. Every month we focus on one home, which means that each...

silverlake outting
if you haven’t already toured around sunset junction, i recommend a night out with some like-minded friends who enjoy laid back nights and good food. the second of many recommendations i offer you in this post, is to park close to where santa monica meets sunset - but beware of the many, many, many parking restrictions.

snapkeys to replace qwerty? yeah, right.
snapkeys is a predictive text application that seeks to become the new standard keyboard. rather than a full-letter keyboard, you use just 6 buttons:
the four middle buttons house letters and symbols, while the side buttons are backspace and space

i’m officially hooked on meteor showers. last night, i experienced my first one, supposedly the “most promising” of all showers - the quadrantids. the shower happens every five years, so i’m definitely going to wait for the next one to come around.
justin luckily had great camping gear, so he packed up his head light (the coolest thing you could put on your head, in my...

playlist: white boys with mad soul
i’m unimpressed with the monotones of the likes of jack johnson and john mayer. i’m more of a fan of dynamics and vibrato, so here’s a quick playlist that prove some white boys in this world do have mad soul.
marc broussard - real good thing
james morrison - the awakening
gavin degraw - sweeter
scott of pentatonix - dog days are over (cover)
ray lamontagne - you are the...
